  1. I am now a follower of all 3, I have blogged about it for 15, and facebooked about the contest! Pick me, pick me!

  2. I feel completely overwhelmed with awe at Mary and all that she stands for. What a precious, pure, righteous spirit she obviously was to have been chosen for the incomparable task of giving birth to and raising the Son of God! I have often wondered what her feelings were; and also what sort of things she "pondered, and kept...in her heart." Did she feel the same inadequacies that I often feel as a mother? Did she wonder if her labors were acceptable before God? To me, Mary is the essence of motherhood. She embodies all that motherhood is and should be. I LOVE this painting b/c it speaks volumes to me of all the indescribable emotions that accompany motherhood--the joy and the pain all mixed together. I never win these sorts of things, but I still would like you to know how much this stunning painting means to me
